Testimonials

Hi everyone, Thank you for all the kindness and respect you give to my Mum. She has now been a resident with you for five years and remains extremely happy at The Heathers. It is a small friendly and cosy home and very much like a home from home. Being a small home, there are not masses of facilities, but everything that is required to care for residents and make them feel safe and cared for is provided. We could not have wished for better care and attention shown to our mum

The Heathers is like a home from home. The staff are exceptional in their care for the residents, treating them with kindness and dignity. The activities are consistent and keep the residents engaged and included, which is so important and adds tho their quality of life. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Heathers.

To all at The Heathers,

Joan really perked up when I told her of your kind offer to take me down to see Joan at Halstead. So, if the offer is still open, she is looking forward to seeing both of us on Thursday 26th, at any time in the afternoon. To confirm this, I suggested you might giver her a ring tomorrow morning to let her know what you’ve decided. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this Helen, both for Joan (who is thoroughly fed-up) and myself.

Thank you

Barbara

To all Staff at The Heathers,

Thank you all so much for taking care of Jean for the past week. We really appreciate the care you gave her. Please accept the enclosed with our love.

Arthur Wade & family

With special thanks!

Thank you so much for your kindness and support during our visit to Mum today.

Without doubt, your presence helped no end with a somewhat delicate matter and made all the difference to the satisfactory outcome that was achieved, more especially, your view about invoking the Power of Attorney.

As agreed, Karin will arrange for £100 to be lodged with you for Mum’s use.

With all good wishes and thanks for your mediating skills.

Yours sincerely

Ivor & Karin Stuart

‘The Girls’,

I know I promised to write from Spain & I apologise for taking a long time to get around to it. I’ll probably be home again before this reaches you.

I really wanted to say a ‘proper’ thank you to you all for the wonderful care you gave to my Mum, I hope you know already how much we appreciated your keeping her at The Heathers - far beyond your remit & I have to admit, more than I would have wanted to take on. If mother had been her normal self, I know she would have shown much more gratitude - in fact, she would probably have written an amusing poem for you as a parting gift!

It’s far too hot here for me to tax my brain in that direction, though before we came I had thought I might try!!

I had been reluctant to put pen to paper before now, because just a week ago, I got messages telling me how poorly Mum was. The phones have been red hot, as you can imagine but now, after a spell in Warwick hospital (which my sister tells me is superb) she seems much better.

We’re not sure that River Meadow will take her back again after that difficult first week. I think the journey and the hot weather really took its toll - and I’m not around to assess! However, with luck, she might be discharged to the Nursing Home where my father is - another lovely place with views to match.

So it looks as if we won’t need to fly home early after all & I am so relieved my sisters are on hand to visit & make arrangements.

I hope you’ve managed to find someone really ‘nice’ to fill mothers room - you know, cheerful, alert, no grumbles, motivated…!!

With love and thanks to you all,

Heather
